Article 1. Definitions

Customer: a private or legal entity who has asked bookittutoring to provide services.

Service(s): any services, consisting of editing & proofreading, including plagiarism verification, which bookittutoring provides as part of an agreed assignment between a customer and the bookittutoring.

Assignment: a task, which thebookittutoring undertakes to fulfill for the customer.

Plagiarism verification: a service by the bookittutoring of using special databases and online tools, such as Turnitin, for checking a document for plagiarism.

Editing & Proofreading service: a service that prescribes a document to be checked by an editor at bookittutoring.

Editing & Proofreading period: a time framework with a clear deadline at the end, by which a document must be proofread and edited.

Editor: a private or legal entity employed by bookittutoring to fulfill an assignment agreed upon between bookittutoring and a customer.

Turnitin online tool: an online tool that is used to check documents for plagiarism.

Article 2. Applicability

The current terms and conditions are applicable to any offer, tender, agreement, or task between bookittutoring and a customer.

In case any point in these terms and conditions appears to be partially or wholly irrelevant, the rest of the points shall remain legally relevant and applicable.

In case when the meaning of one or more points of these terms is unclear, the parties shall apply “in the spirit of these points” expressions. The same expression shall be applied when a new situation, not defined in the current terms and conditions, happens.

If bookittutoring for any reason cannot comply with the current terms and conditions, it should not mean that the points defined here are not valid or that bookittutoring cannot demand the customer to strictly observe the points.

Article 3. Offer

An offer is a document that contains an exhaustive and accurate definition of the services offered by bookittutoring. The definition shall be thorough enough for the customer to properly evaluate it. Any mistakes or apparent errors in the offer shall not be treated by the parties as mandatory for bookittutoring.

Article 4. Agreement

The agreement is officially concluded once the customer receives and accepts bookittutoring’s offer.

Once the customer has accepted the offer, bookittutoring shall confirm a receipt of such an acceptance utilizing electronic communications.

Article 5. Amendments to the Agreement

If in the course of execution of an agreement it becomes apparent that changes or amendments must be done for proper delivery of services under the current assignment, bookittutoring together with the customer shall cooperate and settle all the necessary amendments.

bookittutoring can reject a proposition of amendments to the agreement from the customer in case such a proposition is violating any points in the current terms and conditions.

Article 6. Termination of an Agreement by bookittutoring

bookittutoring retains the right to terminate an agreement after it has been settled and legally concluded.

bookittutoring possesses the right to terminate an agreement if bookittutoring believes that the quality of the document provided by the customer does not allow the company to provide services in due quality.

A document shall satisfy the following quality requirements:

  • The topic of a document must be about education or related to education.
  • The document’s quality shall be sufficient for bookittutoring’s editor to edit & proofread conventionally. Evaluation of the document’s quality shall be done by bookittutoring. An editor will not undertake to edit a document when its quality does not meet the above-mentioned requirements.
  • The customer must not be cheating or behaving dishonestly.
  • If bookittutoring terminates an agreement, it shall notify the customer immediately.

Article 7. Storing and Deleting Documents

bookittutoring will store the customer’s documents up to one year long in case an agreement has been concluded between the customer and bookittutoring.

In case a customer orders a plagiarism verification, they entitle bookittutoring to store the relevant document(s) in security protected Turnitin servers. These servers and the documents they contain as per the agreement can only be accessed by bookittutoring.

No other parties can access and view the documents stored on these servers related to the agreement. All the materials are deleted from Turnitin servers within reasonable time after an order has been fulfilled in full-scope according to the agreement.

When delivering an editing & proofreading service, the bookittutoring’s editor shall receive the related document(s). The editor is then obliged to delete the document(s) immediately after the editing & proofreading task has been finished and the order has been fulfilled.

Article 8. Deadline for Editing & Proofreading Services

An editing & proofreading deadline is defined when a relevant service is purchased by a customer.

The designated editor may finish and return the document before the defined deadline.

bookittutoring shall inform the customer of the editing & proofreading deadline in due time via electronic communication. The customer can also check his/her editing & proofreading order deadline on the dedicated customer profile pages on the bookittutoring’s website.

The editing & proofreading process shall begin when a customer pays for the service and shall end when bookittutoring sends or opens access to the verified document to the customer.

In case an assigned editor cannot meet the deadline, bookittutoring must communicate the changes to the deadline to the customer.

In case of any technical problems hindering the delivery of the documents to the customer, bookittutoring retains the right to amend the deadlines.

Article 9. Review Period for Plagiarism Verification

The review period required for plagiarism verification is subject to the workload of Turnitin. bookittutoring is unable to impact this review period.

The customer is entitled to request a full refund of the invoice amount for the ordered plagiarism verification service if such a service has not been provided within 48 hours time frame. The necessary prerequisite for the customer is to request such a refund before the provision of the service. bookittutoring shall notify the customer of the exact time when the results of plagiarism verification have been received.

Point 2 of Article shall not apply if bookittutoring communicates on its webpage the information about delays in plagiarism verifications exceeding the 24 hours deadline.

Article 10. Termination Guidelines

The customer cannot terminate plagiarism verification.

If the termination of editing & proofreading happens due to the fault of the customer, the customer must cover the costs that bookittutoring has incurred in fulfilling the agreement.

Article 11. Responsibility

If bookittutoring is responsible, this responsibility is limited by the scope of the current terms and conditions.

bookittutoring is not responsible for any sort of damage that was caused by incomplete or incorrect information provided by the customer or on his/her behalf. If bookittutoring is held responsible for any damage, its responsibility shall be limited to the invoice value of the agreement.

bookittutoringshall not be held responsible for any loss incurred by the customer provided that bookittutoring rejects the customer’s order.

bookittutoring is not responsible for any loss or damage to the documents stored by bookittutoring or any third parties involved.

bookittutoring shall not be held responsible for damage and consequences for the customer if for any reason it did not meet the editing & proofreading deadline.

bookittutoring cannot be held responsible for not being able to discover any plagiarism when engaging in plagiarism verification.

bookittutoring shall not be responsible for potential negative aftermath caused by a customer who is facing delays or failing in his/her academic discipline or by an academic institution rejecting or underscoring the customer's document.

bookittutoring has the right to revoke damage to the customer to a reasonable extent and if possible.

Article 12. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions

bookittutoring reserves the rights to amend or change these terms and conditions without a prior notice to their customers.
